What is Interface? Interface is a philosophy for ministry that LSI is promoting.
8 Core Ideas of Interface: 1. The Great Commission. The Church is Christ’s witness to all people and to all the peoples of the world. By engaging His Church in the Great Commission, God is able to perfect His Church. | Mt 28:18-20, Mk 16:15, Lk 24:46-48, Jn 20:21, Acts 1:8, Mk 8:34-35, Eph 4:11-13 2. The Kingdom of God. The rule and reign of God within God’s people, among all the “peoples” of the world, is the primary purpose of God for this age and marks the completion of the Great Commission. | Mt 4:17 and 23, Mt 11:3-5, 6:33, Ro 1:5 and 16:26, Ro 14:17, Mt 28:19 3. The Multi-structured Expression of the Church, the Body of Christ. Christ who is the head of His Church reserves the right to raise up expressions of His Body for the furtherance of His Kingdom. This He has done throughout history and will continue to do until the end of the age. | Mk 3:14, Acts 11:22, Acts 13:2 4. The Ministry of All Believers. God expects every believer to be engaged in fruitful ministry, in keeping with their understanding of His divine call upon their lives, their opportunities and spiritual gifts. | Mk 13:34, Acts 2: 17-18, 1Pe 4:10, 1Co 12:7, Eph 4:11-13 5. Servant Leadership. In contrast to the world’s model of leadership, Church leadership is defined by humility, selflessness and servant-hood. The correct exercise of spiritual authority, within the Church, is evidenced by God’s people being discipled, equipped and released into works of service. | Mt 20:25-28, Php 2:1-11, Eph 4:11-13 6. Team Ministry. Scripture shows Christ, the Apostles and the early church ministering in community and in team. The full range of spiritual and ministry gifts, are found in the community of God’s people. God brings teams together for effective and fruitful ministry. | Mk 6:7, Acts 14:23, 15:6, 20:17 7. Christ is the Lord of the Harvest. The risen Christ is both the head of the Church and the Lord of the harvest. He therefore reserves the right to direct His Church and place His workers in His harvest field where and when it pleases Him! | Eph 1:22, Lk 10:2, Acts 13: 2-4 8. God’s Ultimate Intention is that the Church be the Chosen Bride for His Son. God’s ultimate intention is to prepare and provide a Bride for His Son that will reign and serve with Him, in the Kingdom of God, throughout eternity. | Mt 9:15, Eph 5:32, Rev 19:7, 21:2, Lk 19:17
